Nene 'overoptimistic' about economic growth prospects

Real GDP at market prices for the first quarter of 2015 increased by an annualised rate of 1,3%. This was well below Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene's GDP growth forecast for 2015 of 2% during his budget speech. At the time, Lindie Stroebel, agribusiness intelligence manager at Agbiz, told Farmer's Weekly that growth would probably not be much higher than 1,4%
