2018 Agbiz Congress: Early bird registration now open

Congress theme:  Uncertainty Creates Opportunity

It is our pleasure to inform you that the 2018 Agbiz Congress will be held on 7-8 June 2018 at the Boardwalk International Convention Centre in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape.   This prestigious congress is one of the major events on the food, fibre and beverage sectors’ agenda of South Africa and a premier agribusiness networking opportunity where business leaders and policy makers meet to shape the future of the broader South African agro-food industry.

CEOs, senior management and board members, as well as key delegates from government, producer organisations, processors, academia and various other major role players in the southern African agriculture and agro-food industry are expected to attend the congress.

The Congress comprises an open conference style session that will run from the morning of 7 June until 8 June at 11:00.  After the congress, Agbiz members will participate in a closed Annual General Meeting.

Various top international and local experts will address key issues such as the global agro-food environment we operate in, the global and local political economy, and environmental challenges the sectors face. Furthermore, the key issues of land and water reform confronting South Africa and its agriculture system, and the impact technology will have on the competitiveness of South Africa’s industries, will be addressed.

Agbiz members and non-members are most welcome and you will find the programme and networking opportunities, including the welcome function on the evening of 6 June and the gala dinner on the evening of 7 June, most stimulating and enjoyable.

You will receive an invitation e-mail and congress updates, provided your credentials are in the contact list of Agbiz members and other role players. If not, please contact Natalie van Harte at the following email: admin@agbiz.co.za.
