ABC Congress to be held in Somerset West

"The agricultural value chains of South Africa currently face several critical challenges. Constraints with regard to a highly skewed global trade environment, agro-logistics, water quality, sharp increases in electricity tariffs, a highly volatile currency (exchange rate), deteriorating rural infrastructure, labour strikes in state-owned enterprises, production constraints and many more, impact negatively on the competitiveness of our agriculture sector.

To address these critical issues, the Agricultural Business Chamber's Congress will be held at the Lord Charles Conference Centre, Somerset West, on 2 and 3 June 2010," Dr John Purchase, Chief Executive of the Agricultural Business Chamber, said today.
