Almost every article on land reform starts with a quote from an important role-player confirming that land reform is an important political priority. These articles explain that the issue at hand isn't whether land reform is necessary anymore, but rather how it should be done. In other words: how can land reform be managed sustain- ably to maintain and protect food security, the profitability of commercial farming and the right of land ownership in South Africa?
