South African agricultural sector remains in recession

Recent Gross Domestic Product (GDP) data shows that South Africa’s agricultural sector remains in recession. This is based on a negative growth of a seasonally adjusted annualised rate of -0.3% quarter-on-quarter in the third quarter of 2016.
