Dear Sir/Madame

Invitation to all stakeholders and role players in agriculture and agribusiness

The Agricultural Business Chamber (Agbiz) of South Africa will be holding its biennial Congress at the Boardwalk Hotel and Conference Centre in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape on 7 to 8 June 2018.

This prestigious congress is one of the major events on the food, fibre and beverage sectors’ agenda of South Africa. The event is one of the premier agribusiness networking opportunities where business leaders and policy makers meet to shape the future of the broader South African agro-food industry. The Congress comprises an open conference style session that will run from the morning of 7 June until 8 June at 11:00. After the congress, Agbiz members will participate in a closed Annual General Meeting.

The theme of the 2018 Congress is: “Uncertainty creates opportunity”

Various top international and local experts will address key issues such as the global agro-food environment we operate in, the global and local political economy, and environmental challenges the sectors face. Furthermore, the key issues of land and water reform confronting South Africa and its agriculture system, and the impact technology will have on the competitiveness of South Africa’s industries, will be addressed.

Members and non-members are most welcome.  You will find the programme and networking opportunities, including the welcome function on the evening of 6 June and the gala dinner on the evening of 7 June, most stimulating and enjoyable.
